Mark Singleton began his conducting career at William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri, where he received his undergraduate degree in Cello Performance and Church Music. In Missouri, Mr. Singleton served as Associate Conductor of the Liberty Symphony Orchestra, Conductor and founder of the Consort Singers, Conducting Intern of the Kansas City Chorale and Director of Music at Winnwood Baptist Church.
Mr. Singleton has pursued conducting studies at the Robert Shaw Festival, the Dennis Keene Festival and the Conductors Institute of South Carolina, and has studied with conductors Charles Bruffy, Arnold Epley, Vance George, Dennis Keene, Phil Posey, and Robert Page. Most recently, Mr. Singleton completed his Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting at the University of Connecticut under Dr. Peter Bagley.
Currently, Mr. Singleton serves as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Connecticut, Conductor of the Vernon Chorale, Conductor of the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Chorus and is a Tenor Section Leader at Immanuel Congregational Church under Larry Allen.
